The Youn People at work project of the Mission Bambini Foundation aims to develop work skills and stable employment for 15 young people aged between 16 and 29, coming from situations of social disadvantage and involving at least 5 women through the realization of formative internships.
These internships will take place at local businesses and the youth will be followed by an educational tutor who accompanies him/her through the training course and maintains contacts with the firm and the families and by a tutor provided by the host company who will follow the youth in his/her training process, teaching him/her a craft and the rules in the working world. The interships will be paid with an amount of not less than 300 euros a month, as ruled by the Lombardy Region , and will last for at least 6 months to allow young people to acquire the necessary professional skills.
The expected results from the project include attainment of professional skills for at least 70% of the youths; stable job placement, within at least 6 months, from the end of the internship for at least 30% of the young people and, within one year of the internship, for at least 40%.
Marcegaglia Foundation supports this intervention through a contribution to the realization of 5 training courses for girls from difficult situations that will be accompanied through skills development and job insertion.
