ClosedEmployees Project 2016

The employees project is the initiative of the Marcegaglia Foundation aimed at the employees of the Marcegaglia Group in Italy. The project, launched in 2013, was created in memory of Cav. Steno Marcegaglia with the desire to give way to his sensitivity towards the human resources and the social context in which the company taps into. Each year, the Marcegaglia Foundation proposes one or more tenders to employees on different themes and for different purposes. Tenders can be made for direct contributions to the families of employees (such as scholarships) or contributions to associations, schools or local authorities proposed by the employees themselves.

In 2016, the Marcegaglia Employees Project continued with a school-based initiative, a key place for growth and education for younger generations, often lacking in maintenance and decorum for student wellbeing.

Marcegaglia Foundation, together with Mission Bambini Foundation, has launched the call “At school for 1 day” by providing 30,000 Euros for redevelopment of school environments in schools proposed by Marcegaglia employees and carried out through the active participation of volunteers: parents, teachers, private people.

The Marcegaglia Foundation and the Mission Bambini Foundation have selected the 7 most deserving projects among the 43 received in the tender “At School for 1 day”, addressed to the Marcegaglia employees in Italy.
