The collaboration between Fondazione Marcegaglia, E4Impact Foundation and Catholic University of the Sacred Heart began in 2013 in Sierra Leone and has proved to be a positive example of supporting women’s entrepreneurship in Africa. In 2017, this collaboration will enable the Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship in Rwanda, to be launched at KIM University, a program that aims to form local entrepreneurs with high social and environmental impact. The program, already active in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone and Senegal has already formed 400 entrepreneurs and counts more than 200 trainees.
The master will take place in the capital city of Kigali and will host 30 entrepreneurs every year. For the first two editions, 2017 and 2018, the Marcegaglia Foundation will provide 16 scholarships and mentorship courses dedicated to women with social or business projects that can come in synergy with the Foundation’s interventions, already established in the country.
